Hello and Welcome to my blog.

My name is Jason. I grew up in a small farm town in Ohio and currently reside in Erie, Pennsylvania with my wonderful wife, Nahtanha, and our son Boden.

I attended Culinary School at Mercyhurst North East in 2012. I have been cooking since I was a kid. My Mom and Grandma are excellent bakers and I learned a lot from them. I'm definitely not a baker, but I love to cook. I'm a sucker for science. So the process behind how something is created sparks my interest. Making things that we normally buy already processed is fascinating. For example, bacon or ice cream. This is what keeps me excited to learn.

I opened up Swine Dining in May 2015 where we made gourmet rubs and sesonings and dabbled in the art of pit bbq. I’m proud to say that I have reached a new chapter in my life. Swine Dining has merged with Outlaw Barbecue Revolution. I will be doing the spice thing under their name now. I am part of something big that is only going to grow larger. I quit my call center job at our local hospital and am jumping in and taking the plunge on a whole new career. Crazy? Nope. I like to think brave. I don’t want to sit behind a desk and wish I would have followed my dream. I am taking the bull by the horns and going for it.
